Freelance reads for feb 2009
- Jonathan Fields on the perception of ‘safety’ in a job and advocates career renegading. (sidenote: note sure why people have this impression that jobs are presumably ‘safer’ than being self-employed when you’re not in control of your employment status – your boss is.)
- Great list of books by Renee Rist on freelancing. Definitely shopping-cart/wish-list worthy.
- My favourite of the month: Tim Van Damme wrote a piece on protecting yourself from shitty clients. Even the high-profile designers have shitty clients. Everyone’s human.
- Jack Cheng on denial – great story about Shepard Fairey, the artist behind those iconic Obama posters.
