Susan Boyle already pre-empted the reaction the audience would have when she pursued her dream to be a professional singer. Rolling of eyes, looks of ‘why the hell is she even doing on stage’, the negative judgement of people in general.
She did not care. She went on stage anyways.

I cannot help but feel ashamed of myself and my fear.
